Being envy to those working people akhirnya i've got to feel on my own working experience. sekejap tapi its a good chance and experience. Part timing . X penah face the real life of QS macam mana.
First day masuk awal2 cam chill2 je rilex pastu tadaaaaa workloads dia tananana. haha
Xde boring pun keje tapi hectic life. Once dah keje dont expect you could work at 9am and goin back at 5pm. never ever put that in ur mind. QS ke engineer ke kena stayback kat office. Kadang buat keje sampai leka time flies.
My mom call like everyday, tanya balik pukul berapa. Siap cakap susahnye keje xyah keje la mcm tu. --' nasib i'm not a spoil kiddos mum. hahahaha.
Kalau dah yg dengar pun penat, tu baru sikit diorg siap stay until 12 midnite. Mungkin kalau nnt dah ada rumah sndri logik la i'm stay back until pagi mcm kat um. Been trained as a qs student ktorg dah rasa normal weh buat keje smpai subuh ade yg x tido 48jam. Its normal for us. Toilet office kat sini pun siap ada berus gigi and pencuci muka. Enough to prove that some people live inside here. hahaa Those who cannot deal with this cepat2 la pikir plan B nak lari bidang, tapi rugi la ur Degree. I'm gonna do this up to certain age pastu lari masuk line lain :D hehe
Kalau nak jimat bekerja ni bawak la bekal, u get to eat clean and healthy food instead of eating mahal every meal and muak. Ktorg sarapan , lunch semua kat pelita opposite je ngan office. First day boleh terima la air tangan mamak, masuk hari ke-2 and ke-3 memang tak la, rela tak makan sbb dah muak plus pricey. Plus mana sempat kalau busy nak pegi lunch time is precious.
Sebab mmg busy and work smpai late nite, the company supply us with dinner at this critical days, day 1 McD, day 2 dominos n day 3 bihun. pastu engineer tu beli kerepek pulak haha share2 makan satu meja. kakak qs pun supply kan ktorg kacang and chipsmore. chill je nampak haha.
Basically the project that we've been working on x leh nak di dedahkan, mostly construction ni confidential. Tapi ktorg yg inking kan price tender mcm wow. bangga sbb hasil tangan ktorg tu nak di submit for real. Even that's the little i can do tapi rasa happy. Each of us buat like 3-4 BQ tebal tu. memang nak muntah lama2 buat benda tu.
Dari situ dah nampak pentingnye ketelitian, angka tak leh silap walaupun terlebih satu zero, always akan ada double and triple checking cuz we are human after all. mistakes akan ada. kalau price lari berjuta2 mau tak mengamuk bos atas. That's one thing la.
Another thing ktorg buat keje sebelah group MnE Engineer. MnE stand for Mechanical and Electrical. Consultant QS and Engineer not from the same company tapi we work at project manager's office in subang sbb documents semua kena share and simpan kat situ xleh bwk balik rumah. So we have to bring ourselves and berkampung di office. Duduk 3 hari je tapi rasenye dh kenal dah semua kaum kerabat team engineer.
MJ ke, encik Mus ke en mat hahaha semua nama tu dan org nye ktorg dah tgk. Diorg borak kuat tapi kelaka. Not appropriate to laugh when people not talking to u, but sapa boleh tahan weh diorg kelaka kot. So untuk tutup telinga sumbat la earphone :) . Day 1 work 10am-10pm, day 2 pun sama, day 3 supposed to stay but have to go back early sbb mom xbagi nak drive balik after 10 ke rumah. so 9pm tu dh chow. Sorry couldnt contribute till then end.
3 days and i've unlock my driving level untuk teroka jalan subang jaya dan sunway pyramid. Selalu jalan sekitar nilai, putrajaya,time square, banting dan bukit tinggi. Tapi kini sudah menawan subang dan sunway. Tapi sesat setiap hari. Day one nak balik um tak tau. redah tah mana2 jalan nasib ada GPS. kalau x... duduk la xgerak2 kat tepi jalan tu. Actually boleh je if subang nak balik um tgk la mana2 papan tanda PJ or bangsar. day 2 lalu jalan lain sesat jugak tapi sampai alhamdulillah. day 3 nak balik rumah pun mcm blur2. haihhh .
Heran jugak dgn diri sendri , takut sesat tu xde sbb ade gps. Kalau sesat pun dia tolong reroute and lagi satu Allah ada. Since i put everything i do atas jagaan Allah banyak jugak positive thinking in mind. And Allah never disappoint me so far :) syukur.
Harini sambung cuti wohooo. boring plak xtau nak buat ape, tapi penat tak hilang lagi. Cuma in the future kalau sapa2 nak marry qs or engineer , as a guy u need to consider dan paham kerjaya tu. Weekend pun ada on call. A woman could handle her family life and work tapi bila ada mega project on call tu mmg perlu ada cuz we are working in a team. If u not willing to sacrifice this dont work. tu je. Balik lambat tu akan ada waktu2 critical kadang smpai pkul 12.
Lama2 keje surely u'll get everything in ur mind and start rasa sama je job scope dia cuma with different problem arise, some people tend to run and find some extra challenges. Kalau masih gagah mungkin rasa nak lari O&G :) who knows. will see how. xpun kalau ade keje kat dubai ke, hong kong ke mcm best. :p
